For several months the
people and animals of Florida have been in a state of
confusion. Due to a series of
catastrophic events, they have gone through a trama
that could affect the environment for years to come. Hurricane Flora hit the Gulf Coast of Florida, destoying
buildings, scattering animals to unfamiliar habitats, and depositing seeds from
exotic plants throughout the area of south Florida. To add to this confusion, a massive
“cloud of black water” has combined with
patches of red tide off the coastal areas, which is threatening sea life and
causing many species to seek new habitats.
Coastal creatures have moved inland leading to an imbalance of wildlife
and an interruption into the normal food chains. People are struggling to rebuild and have
given little thought to what has happened in the environment. If the people and animals of Florida are to survive, it is up to you
to solve many problems. A
busy hurricane season is predicted and it is important that you quickly help
solve these problems. Are you up to
the challenge?
Why is a balance of
nature so important to the environment?
How can people help to guard that balance?
