You will advise the group on packing tips, purchase and obtain Passports and Visas if necessary, and check for immunization required. Print this worksheet to keep track of your research.

Packing Tips: Think of possible outfits you would need to pack. What is the least amount of apparel you could pack? You are only allowed to pack two suitcases and one carry on bag. Click here to plan your wardrobe.

Currency Conversion: Different countries use different kinds of money. Use the xe.com currency converter to convert money for the other members of your group. When you convert to US dollars and it gives you more than two decimal places, you can round before you enter it into the Fantastic $40,000.00 Fantasy paper, or it will automatically round it for you.

Passports: Find out how much it will cost and how long it will take to purchase passports for each member of your group. (Go to, “Passport Services…1^st Time” at Passport Express.)

Visas: Find out if your country expects a visa (not a credit card, but a pass to visit that country). Find out the cost, and where you will have to go to get your visa. (To obtain information about a visa, go to, “Smart Travel Tips…Contacts and Resources,” at Fodors, “Facts for the Traveler,” at Lonely Planet, or “Visa Services…click on your country,” at Passport Express.)

Immunization: Find out what shots or immunizations are required before entering the country you selected. (To obtain information about immunization click on the area of the continent that you are visiting, then scroll down to “CDC recommends the following vaccines (as appropriate for age),” at CDC website.
