Hotel Reservation and Airline Ticket Agent
You
will need to solve the following mysteries:
Hotel
Reservations:
Print this worksheet to keep track of your research.
You
will compare three hotels for your stay. You may want to stay in different
hotels on different days of your trip if you travel to different cities, or if
one is closer to an attraction your group will be visiting. You may also want
to stay in one hotel the entire stay. The three hotels that you select from Fodors or Expedia will be written on
the Hotel Reservation Worksheet. Choose a budget,
a mid-range and a high priced hotel.
The best hotel for each day will give you the most amenities for the
least amount of money.
Consider the amenities offered at that
hotel (Does is offer breakfast for free?)
Consider
the price of the room and proximity to attractions and restaurants. (Does it
offer a shuttle service to an attraction or event you want to visit?)
Consider
that if you book a hotel room for four that is the total price. Before
you enter the price on the Fantastic $40,000 Fantasy paper, you will need to divide the
price by four, because the worksheet will automatically multiply the price by
four.
Airline
Tickets:
You will compare and choose the best round trip flight for your
money and your group at these websites: Expedia, Orbitz,
or Priceline.
Consider
how long the flight will be including connections and layovers (changing from
one plane to another). This is where
you will need to use the world time zone map.
Consider
traveling on different days of the week in order to find the best price.
Consider
the best time of the year for your selection of country. (Look for, “When to
Go,” at Lonely
Planet and
Fodors.)
Don’t forget to enter your top three choices on the Hotel Reservation and Airline Ticket Agent Worksheet.
The very best choice will be entered on the Fantastic $40,000 Fantasy paper.

your group has money left over, see the Adventure and Attractions Agent.
