Fabulous Florida Students (GR. 2-5) will research the attributes of Florida and collaborate to prepare a persuasive letter and poster to convince the President that Florida should receive the “America’s Favorite State” Award
Back in Time with the Pilgrims & Indians 2nd graders will work with a buddy to role play either a Pilgrim or Native American and research their food, clothing, shelter, and entertainment.
Pilgrims, Native Americans, and Us 2nd graders will research a Pilgrim or Native American, using a Venn Diagram to compare their lives then to now. Then, they will write a letter to a Pilgrim or Native American inviting them to their house for dinner.
Nutrition: The Quest For Better Health Kindergarten students research, collect, and record data on eating healthy foods to help friendly aliens that have landed on Earth and are eating all kinds of junk food and getting sick from it.
Black History: Past to Present After researching and reporting on a famous African American, second graders create and perform in a skit/play depicting that character.
To Have or to Have Not 1st graders will work in teams to create painting businesses. They will have to make choices and apply their knowledge about scarcity, goods and services, and banking.
The Case of the Missing Trunks Second graders receive mystery trunks that belonged to famous explorers and are challenged to investigate and find clues from within the trunks in order to return them to their rightful owners.
