Why Do Animals Live Where They Live?	A Multidisciplinary Activity for Grades 2-3 that allows students to choose an animal to research and analyze according to how and why it lives where it does
The Mitten	Grades K & 5 collaborate to research an animal from Jan Brett’s, The Mitten and prepare a persuasive medium and PowerPoint presentation to convince a logging company to spare this animal’s habitat.
Fabulous Florida	Students (GR. 2-5) will research the attributes of Florida and collaborate to prepare a persuasive letter and poster to convince the President that Florida should receive the “America’s Favorite State” Award
Money: Counting & Making Change	2nd graders work together in pairs to learn how to count money and make change. They also get to go on a shopping spree and earn a certificate.
The Human Body	2nd graders will work with a partner to plan and create a nourishing week’s menu for their teacher. They will begin by researching different parts of the human body, exercising, and health foods.
Back in Time with the Pilgrims & Indians	2nd graders will work with a buddy to role play either a Pilgrim or Native American and research their food, clothing, shelter, and entertainment.
Dinosaur WebQuest	2nd graders will learn about one dinosaur and the time period in which it lived. Then, they will work together with the other members of their class to design a Dinosaur Zoo.
Pilgrims, Native Americans, and Us	2nd graders will research a Pilgrim or Native American, using a Venn Diagram to compare their lives then to now. Then, they will write a letter to a Pilgrim or Native American inviting them to their house for dinner.
A Quest for Respect with "The Grouchy Ladybug"	1st and 2nd graders go on a quest to discover the meaning of respect and to become a ladybug expert. They will read the book The Grouchy Ladybug and act out how the characters felt when they were being treated badly.
Nutrition: The Quest For Better Health	Kindergarten students research, collect, and record data on eating healthy foods to help friendly aliens that have landed on Earth and are eating all kinds of junk food and getting sick from it.
The Water Cycle	2nd graders take a tour through the water cycle to learn about what happens to a drop of water as it experiences evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
An Insect's Perspective	Students imagine themselves as an insect whose habitat is about to be destroyed. It is their task to write a letter to Mr. Terminex persuading him that they should be allowed to live.
